First, she stole my parking spot. Then we became friends. Then I fell completely, mind-torturingly in love with her. Oh, wait--I think that happened first...

My Review:

Sky High was a total page-turner for me, it was one of those books that I could not put down. Needless to say it was a great book filled with romance and sexy scenes between the characters that just made the book that much more enjoyable to read.

At the very beginning we meet Jamie, he has just celebrated his birthday with his friends and on that day he decides to make it his year after being promoted at his job and moving to a new apartment. In his eyes his life has just gotten better and he is not going to let anyone ruining his year. After settling in he happens to meet one of his neighbors, Sky after a morning run. Soon the two of them start to talk and a friendship blossoms between that pulls them closer the more they spend time together. But what Jamie didn't expect was to fall in love with her and not being able to do anything without affecting their friendship. Now it is his turn to make her see that they might just be perfect together.

Sky is the complete opposite of Jamie in that she hasn't had the best year of her life, in fact, her luck with guys is not the best. This causes her to build walls around her so that she doesn't get hurt again. When she meet Jamie, she has an instant attraction towards him, but she doesn't want to make the first move. As she gets to know Jamie, she finds him charming and romantic which is hard to resist. When she accepts to go on blind dates, Jamie offers to give his advice on who is good for her and who isn't. Sky gladly accepts, but the more she goes on these blind dates, the more she starting to realize that they are not what she is looking for after all. Soon she has to face the fact that maybe Jamie is the right person for her in the end.

What I liked about the book was how the author makes the main characters friends first rather than quickly moving on into a relationship. The whole idea of dating and having Jamie assess whoever Sky is with was fun to read, especially since that got Jamie jealous and made him a bit overprotective towards her. There is truly a connection between the two that is hard to resist and their chemistry grows throughout the story as well. Although the story flows nicely, the ending could have been better with another chapter or two to fully bring the story to and end. Other than that I highly recommend reading this book, I will certainly be reading the last two previous books in the series. :)
