Review:

I was so excited when I first found out that Cindi Madsen was coming up with a new book! Then I was even more excited to get an early copy of Getting Lucky Number Seven, and needless to say I absolutely loved it. The concept was spot on, and the chemistry between the characters was just perfect.

Getting Lucky Number Seven follows the story of Lyla Wilder, a shy chemistry student that has been focused on school for far too long, and now she wants to get out off her shell and experience what college is all about. So she decides to create a list of things to do before the semester is over, and calls it her “College Bucket List.” With that said, she wants to do things that she has never done before, and soon her list starts to get wild clearly wanting to make an statement before she goes back to see her family. But she soon discovers that she is going to need help getting out off her shell from her best friend, Beck Davenport. But she wasn't expecting to find herself lusting after her best friend, and the more time they spend together, the more she feels that she might just be falling in love with him as well.

Beck Davenport, a hockey player, knows that he can have just about any girl he wants. Yet when his best friend asks him for his help, he can't deny helping her. He already has a soft spot for Lyla, and if she wants to get wild for a couple of days, or until she is done with her “College Bucket List,” then he is going to do anything to help her. Yet the minute she starts to change, he can't deny the attraction that he has towards her, and soon find himself willing to risk their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7.

I enjoyed every single aspect of the book, it was a page-turner! I couldn't put it down, it was fun to read about some of things that Lyla wanted to accomplished, and it made the book that much more interesting to read. Beck is known to be the player that every single girl wants, but the friendship that he has with Lyla makes their relationship that much more likable. He was a good sport helping her on the journey to discover who she really is and what she wants. That soon complicates their friendship when they cross the line by been together, that's when the story really takes a turn of events that lead them to the very end which I loved. Overall, the story was very well-written, and it flow effortlessly. I would highly recommend reading this book, and any others by Cindi Madsen. :)

About the Author

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
